Thanksgiving in NYC: Social Media, Influencer Marketing & Brand Storytelling

Experience Thanksgiving in the heart of New York City! Students will witness the world-famous Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, explore iconic NYC landmarks, and learn how brands, influencers, and media organizations use storytelling, content creation, and social media to engage audiences and build communities.
Using New York City as a living classroom, students will examine how major events become global media moments, analyze real-world marketing campaigns, and discover how influencer partnerships, audience engagement, and digital communication shape consumer behavior.
As a special holiday celebration, students will also enjoy a Friendsgiving turkey meal, providing an opportunity to gather, reflect on their experiences, and celebrate the Thanksgiving season together.

Set during the Fourth of July holiday, participants will experience Washington, D.C. at its most vibrant—surrounded by patriotic celebrations, iconic landmarks, live performances, historic sites, and one of the most spectacular fireworks displays in the country.
Students will connect the stories behind America’s most famous monuments, leaders, and historical events with modern-day issues and global perspectives.
