Personal Finance for Everyday Life is a practical, beginner-friendly course designed to help au pairs confidently manage their money during their year in the United States. Whether this is your first time earning a steady income or navigating an American banking system, this course provides the essential knowledge and skills you need to make smart financial decisions.

Students will learn how U.S. banking works, how to create a realistic budget on an au pair salary, and how to save effectively for travel and personal goals. The course also introduces important topics such as credit cards, credit scores, avoiding common financial mistakes, understanding taxes and tipping, and protecting yourself from scams and unexpected fees.

Through hands-on activities and real-life budgeting scenarios, you’ll leave this course with practical tools you can apply immediately—helping you feel more independent, confident, and prepared during your time in the U.S. and beyond.

CLASS FORMAT

This is a Self-Paced, Pre-Recorded Online class.

✔ Begin as soon as you receive access

Once you receive an invitation to join Google Classroom, you may start your assignments. You will watch pre-recorded lessons, complete readings, and submit assignments on your own schedule.

✔ Work at your own pace within a deadline

You will have 3 months to complete the class.

✔ Communicate with an instructor only when needed

The instructor will grade all assignments, answer questions, and approve completion.

COURSE COMPLETION CERTIFICATE

Once you have successfully completed all assignments, you will receive your course completion certificate via email. Please allow up to 3 days after successful completion.
