COURSE DESCRIPTION

Yeehaw! Are you ready to channel your inner cowboy or cowgirl and experience the thrill of the Wild West? In this Photography + Destination Combination class, you will learn basic digital photography skills as well as immerse yourself in “cowboy culture” in San Antonio and Austin, Texas. These two cities are known for their rich cultural heritage, diverse communities, and stunning landscapes that provide endless inspiration for photographers. From the historic missions and colorful murals of San Antonio to the eclectic street art and live music scene of Austin, these cities offer a wealth of opportunities to capture unique and compelling images.

You will not only learn the technical aspects of photography, such as composition, lighting, and editing, but you will also delve into the cultural significance of the images you capture. This course is hands-on, not just about theory; it’s about getting out there and capturing real-life moments that tell a story about the diverse cultures of San Antonio and Austin. From learning how to ride a horse to mastering the art of two-step and line dancing, this class will immerse you in all things cowboy.
