This immersive course is designed to help participants develop a strong foundation in mindset, personal wellness, and leadership skills, while also offering an opportunity to extend the experience through travel to Bermuda.
The program begins in New York City, where students complete the core academic portion of the course through guided instruction, interactive workshops, and group activities. Using NYC as a dynamic learning environment, the course explores how mindset, self-awareness, and daily habits influence overall well-being, confidence, and leadership ability.
Key topics include growth mindset and resilience, stress management and emotional awareness, healthy routines and self-care practices, communication and leadership skills, as well as goal setting and personal development.
Students will also visit iconic New York City landmarks such as Times Square, Central Park, and the Statue of Liberty, using these experiences as opportunities to reflect, connect, and apply course concepts in real-world settings.
To support a well-rounded learning experience, students will complete pre-course assignments introducing core concepts, along with post-course reflections focused on applying these insights to their daily lives. Guided activities throughout the city—including group discussions, wellness sessions, and mindful exploration—encourage practical application and personal growth.
After completing the academic portion of the course, participants can extend their experience through a guided cruise to Bermuda. This travel experience is designed to complement the course by providing space for reflection, connection, and continued personal growth in a new environment. Participants are encouraged to apply what they have learned by practicing mindfulness, building positive habits, and engaging with new surroundings in a meaningful way.
Optional reflection prompts and group check-ins may be offered during the trip to support continued engagement and personal development.

In most cases, au pairs in their extension year are not permitted to travel internationally. However, U.S. regulations include an exception called Automatic Visa Revalidation (AVR).
