COURSE DESCRIPTION

Video production can be applied across a wide range of contexts, from entertainment and education to marketing and training. It can be used for documentaries, films, advertisements, tutorials, webinars, and more. This versatility makes video production a valuable skill in many fields. This course is designed to teach you the fundamentals of creating, producing, and editing video content. Using a smartphone or digital camera, you will learn the skills necessary to professionally produce engaging pieces that capture the attention of the viewer.

Through fun hands-on projects and group work, you will gain experience in pre-production, production, and post-production processes. You will have the opportunity to get out of the classroom, explore your surroundings, and choose the right settings and locations for your videos. You’ll learn the basics of shooting with a digital device as well as lighting techniques for different types of shots. You will also learn how to create compelling stories, develop effective scripts, and visuals, as well as how to use video editing software to create engaging content for platforms such as YouTube, Vimeo, and social media.

Topics covered include storyboarding, shooting techniques, lighting, and editing. By the end of the course, you will have developed the skills and knowledge to create professional-quality video content for captivating storytelling and engagement
